What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE DIG STREET, CHURCH STREET, ST JOHN STREET, ASHBOURNE
TEMPORARY ONE-WAY NORTH BOUND HALL LANE, ASHBOURNE
WHEN: 13 November to 14 November 2026 (Overnight between 20:00 to 05:00).
WHERE: Dig Street, Church Street, St John Street, Ashbourne between Jct. with King Edward Street and Jct. with Market Place.
REASON: To facilitate erection of Christmas lights.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Station Road, Station Street, Sturston Road, Park Road, Hall Lane (One Way Northbound), King Street, Market Place.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
