THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS have directed that, as they propose to make provision to reproduce the effect of The A985 Trunk Road (Rosyth) (Temporary 20 mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024 (S.S.I. 2024/300) but that in consequence of the procedure required to be followed in connection with making that provision it cannot come into operation until the temporary order ceases to be in force, the temporary order shall continue in force.

The order has the effect of temporarily imposing a 20mph speed restriction on that length of the A985 Kincardine - Rosyth Trunk Road at Rosyth from a point 78 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of Kings Road to a point 52 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of Harley Street, a distance of 1.268 kilometres or thereby.

The order, which was required for the interest of road safety was in operation from 4th November 2024. It would have expired on 4th May 2026. On 7th April 2026, the Scottish Ministers issued a direction under section 15(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 continuing the order in force until 4th November 2026.
