(SWADEN, SANDY & SANDY ROAD, EVERTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of

a) Swaden, Sandy between Sand Lane and Potton Road

b) Sandy Road, Everton between Everton Park and number 85

This temporary closure is required to enable road retexturing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 20 November 2026 between the hours 0800-1800 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via:

Swaden - Sandy Rd, Potton Rd, Myers Rd, B1040, B1042, and vice versa.

Sandy Road - Sandy Rd, Potton Rd, Myers Rd, B1040, B1042, Swaden and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 November for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Potton Road, Wrestlingworth approx. 15m west from High Street.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

2 to 3 November 2026 between the hours of

0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via High Street, Eyeworth Rd, Cambridge Rd, Biggleswade Rd, Sutton Lane, Sutton Rd, Wrestlingworth Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 2 November 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sutton Road, Potton approx. 90m from the junction with Bury Hill.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 3 November 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800.

Please note this closure won’t be on at the same time as the Potton Road,Wrestlingworth closure The alternative route for this closure is via Sutton Rd, Biggleswade Rd, Dunton lane, A6001, B1040, B1042, Sutton Rd and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable siding out and waste clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 6 November 2026 between the hours 0800-1800 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Dunton Lane, Saxon Drive, A6001, A1, C184, Millow and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 9 November 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via B1042, Eyeworth Rd, High St, Cambridge Rd, Biggleswade Rd, Dunton lane, Saxon Drive, Baden Powell Way, B1040 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 5 November for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
