Colden Common - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Main Replacement Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE B2177 PORTSMOUTH ROAD, COLDEN COMMON, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of B2177 Portsmouth Road between its junction with B3354 Main Road and the property known as Conifers.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B2177, B3037, B3354.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 9th November 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 weeks, working between the hours 08:00-20:00 Mon-Fri and 09:30-18:30 Sat and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for I&G Contractors to carry out gas main replacement works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order or the associated works, please contact: Customer@sgn.co.uk
