Southwick & Widley - Temporary Road Closures due to Water Main Replacement Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES PORTCHESTER LANE & HAM LANE, SOUTHWICK AND WIDLEY, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: that part of Porchester Lane between its junction with Ham Lane and its junction with Crooked walk Lane. that part of Ham Lane between its junction with Porchester Lane and a point approx. 400m northwest from that junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Portchester Lane Portsdown Hill Road, Swivelton Lane, Boarhunt Road, Fareham Road, South Boarhunt Lane, B2177. Ham Lane - South Boarhunt Lane, B2177.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 9th November 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 weeks, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
