THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
DUNSWELL ROAD, COTTINGHAM

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Dunswell Road, Cottingham (between Northmoor House and Northmoor Lodge). The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed tree works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the same day. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via the remainder of Dunswell Road, North Moor Lane South, New Village Road, Thwaite Street Roundabout, Hull Road, Bricknell Avenue, Cottingham Road, Beverley Road, Greenwood Avenue, Dunswell Roundabout, Raich Carter Way and Dunswell Lane. The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence Monday 9 November 2026 between 8.30am and 3pm and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
