Bede Additionally Resourced Schoolarms Provisions - The Closure
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEADCONSULTATION ON THE CLOSURE OF BEDE ADDITIONALLY RESOURCED SCHOOL(ARMS) PROVISIONS
NOTICE is hereby given that Gateshead Local Authority on behalf of Bede Governing Body is consulting on the proposed closure of Bede ARMS provisions. The Governing Body of Bede Primary School considers that the current financial and operational arrangements for the ARMS provisions are no longer sustainable. The school and the Local Authority have engaged in extensive discussions and explored a range of potential options to support the continued operation of the provisions. Having carefully considered the available alternatives, the Governing Body has concluded that a formal consultation should take place on a proposal to close the ARMS provisions. This consultation provides an opportunity for stakeholders to consider the proposal and share their views before any final decision is made. The consultation runs from 8th October until 24th November 2026.
Views can be submitted using the online consultation portal https:// gatesheadconsults.commonplace.is/ If you would like an individual meeting to discuss the proposal, please email bedeconsultation@gateshead.gov.uk
