Sunny Gardens - Temporary Road Closure Due To Urgent M1 Investigation Works

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Section 14(1) Temporary Road Closure Sunny Gardens NW4
THE BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing for the need to facilitate access for urgent investigation works to be carried out on the M1, they intend to make an Order which will close Sunny Gardens NW4 from its junction with Great North Way, while the works take place.
The works will commence on Monday 2nd November 2026, between the hours of 10:00pm and 5:30am and is expected to last for 13 nights with contingency dates of Monday 23rd November 2026 to Wednesday 25th November 2026, should the works not be completed as scheduled.
The alternative route for motorists will be via: Watford Way, Greyhound Hill and Church Road.
Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
