Bradford - Temporary Road Closure due to Telecommunication Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL MENSTON OLD LANE/BURLEY LANE, BURLEY IN WHARFEDALE/MENSTON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works to be executed on or near Menston Old Lane/Burley Lane, Burley in Wharfedale/Menston has made the above-named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Menston Old Lane/Burley Lane from the Railway Bridge to a point outside Carr Brae.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Menston Old Lane (unaffected section), Bradford Road, Burley Road, Bradford Road, Bingley Road, Main Street, Burley Lane and vice versa.

The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 26th October 2026 and remains in force until 17:00 hours on the 27th October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
