THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE
ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than
seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or
near the roads and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding the
30mph and 40mph speed limits on Stripe Road at Hesley and Tickhill in the City
of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst
works to install a pressure reducing valve and wash out hydrant are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the
Order.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 6th day of
November 2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the
said roads have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not
completed within the stated time the Order may be continued in force with the
approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. (PO1223)
SCHEDULE
Location
1) Introduce a temporary speed limit of 40 mph on Stripe Road, Hesley from a
point 2.3km south from its junction with Hall View Road in a south-westerly
direction for 170 meters.
2) Introduce a temporary speed limit of 30 mph on Stripe Road, Tickhill from a
point 2.47km south from its junction with Hall View Road in a south-westerly
direction for 600 meters.
3) Introduce a temporary speed limit of 40 mph on Stripe Road, Tickhill from a
point 330 meters north of its junction with High Common Lane in a north-easterly
direction for a distance of 120 meters.
