Footpath 60 Upgrade to Bridleway (School Lane) Parish of The Gorge Modification Order 2025
On 24 September 2026 the above-named Order was confirmed under Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading Footpath 60 to a Bridleway commencing at School Lane Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SJ 66949 04934 on the Order Map being a stone/earth surface with an approximate width of 2 metres in a general easterly direction for approximately 466 metres where it joins an unnamed Bridleway at OSGR SJ 67393 04933

The Order became operative on 24 September 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53 or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 have not been complied with, they may within 42 days of the date of publication of this Notice apply to the High Court.
Footpath 85 Upgrade to Bridleway (Orchard Lane to Woodlands Road) Parish of The Gorge Modification Order 2025
On 11 May 2026 the above-named Order was not confirmed under Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Footpath 85 Upgrade to a Bridleway commencing on Orchard Lane from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SJ 67714 03835, the route is a track with a stone surface with a width of approximately 2.5 metres running in a general South-South-West direction for approximately 92 metres to OSGR SJ 67675 03761 next to a property called The Woodlands then it changes to a general South-West direction on an earth surface for approximately 145 metres to OSGR SJ 67567 03675 where it terminates on the adopted highway of Woodlands Road by Woodlands Grange
