PROPOSED RAISED ZEBRA CROSSING AND ASSOCIATED PARKING AMENDMENTS – CREIGHTON ROAD N17

The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.) Order 202** **The Haringey (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. ) Order 202

T28

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and under Section 23 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and section 90a and 90c of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 to introduce a raised zebra crossing on Creighton Road N17.

The general effect of the Order would be:-

1. To revoke no waiting at any time restrictions on Creighton Road N17: a) North side: from the White Hart Lane mini roundabout, heading east for approximately 31.1 metres. b) South side: from the White Hart Lane mini roundabout, heading east for approximately 21.5 metres.

2. To revoke approximately 9.6 metres of permit holders only restrictions on Creighton Road N17 outside No.111.

The above parking changes are required to facilitate the installation of the proposed raised zebra crossing and associated zig-zag markings on Creighton Road N17, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times. These will be placed on the carriageway either side of the crossing: extending to 17 metres east of the crossing and to the west of the crossing for 4.4 metres. The centre of the raised zebra crossing will be located approximately 9 metres east from the White Hart Lane mini roundabout. The zebra crossing will be centrally located on raised table, which itself will have a length of 9.7m, a maximum height of 100mm and will be the full width of the carriageway.

In addition to the changes detailed above, the crossing zig-zag markings will also require approximately 18.5 metres of the existing advisory cycle lane markings on the north side of Creighton Road N17 (opposite No.117) to be removed.
