The East Sussex (A22 Golden Jubilee Way, Westham & Eastbourne)
(Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 40 mph:

Golden Jubilee Way – from the junction with A27 Dittons Road Roundabout North to the junction with A22 Shinewater Roundabout.
The Order commences 31 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 31 October 2026 and 4 January 2027
