What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CARRIERS ROAD, THE CASTLE WAY, WILLINGTON
WHEN: 09 November 2026 to 05 June 2027
WHERE: Carriers Road, The Castle Way, Willington between Carriers Road to The Castle Way.
REASON: To facilitate major bridge repairs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Carriers Road, Burton Road (A38), Toyota Island (roundabout), Burton Road (A38), The Castle Way. Second Diversion route The Castle Way, Derby Road (A38), A5121 (roundabout), A5121, Derby Road (A38), Carriers Road.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
