What is happening?
ON-STREET PARKING
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a
Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places on Roads,
Loading Bay & Waiting Restrictions (Newcastle)
(Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland)”, (S.R. 2026
No.174), which comes into operation on 30th October 2026.
The Rule will authorise vehicles to park for 1 hour with no
return within 1 hour on lengths of Railway Street, Newcastle
between the hours of 9.00am and 5.30pm on Monday to
Saturday. Vehicles are excepted from the prohibition in
certain circumstances.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office
hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by
appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by
