East Suffolk - Temporary Public Footpath Closures due to Construction Works
What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Public Right of Way Kelsale 13 and Middleton 16A.
As part of the construction phase of Sizewell C nuclear power station, public footpaths Kelsale 13 and Middleton 16A will be closed to allow construction of the Sizewell Link Road. A diversion will be in place from the 2nd November 2026 to 30th June 2028 using an alternative route which will be sign posted on the ground. Leiston cum Sizewell 3. As part of the construction phase of Sizewell C nuclear power station, public footpath Leiston cum Sizewell will be closed to allow for infrastructure works near the level crossing from 07.00 to 18.00 on the 26th October 2026 to the 13th November 2026. The crossing will be open to the public at the weekends. There is no suitable alternative route. This work was approved by the Sizewell C Development Consent Order (2022).
