What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
B2027 Tonbridge Road, Chiddingstone Causeway, TN11 8LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Tonbridge Road, Chiddingstone Causeway, on or after 30th October 2026 for up to 4 nights between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Camp Hill to Compasses Road.
The alternative route for cars and light vehicles to follow: B2027 Penshurst Road, B2027 High Street (Leigh), B2027 Hildenborough Road, B2027 Rings Hill, Philpots Lane, Copping’s Road, Camp Hill and vice versa.
HGV’s to be escorted though Site.
Hever Lane, Hever, TN8 7ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Lane, Hever, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Buckhurst Barn.
The alternative route is via Chippens Lane, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill and vice versa.
Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, TN15 7LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A227 Gravesend Road.
The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Chapmans Hill, Rosemary Lane, Hodsoll Street and vice versa.
Lullingstone Lane, Eynsford, DA4 0JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lullingstone Lane, Eynsford, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Eagle Heights Wildlife Centre and the Roman Villa.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 1UF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Jesters.
The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Gracious Lane, A225 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Kemsing, TN15 6XB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of a damaged Telecom cover in the carriageway, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Kemsing, on or after 31st October 2026 for 2 days between 08.00am and 16.00pm Saturday and 09.00am to 13.00pm Sunday or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 10m east of the junction with Cotmans Ash Lane.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Old Terrys Lodge Road, Terrys Lodge Road, A20 London Road, School Lane, Tinkerpot Lane, Cotmans Ash Lane and vice versa.
