Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C41 (Part), Sutton Veny; from its property known as Greenways to its property known as Greenwood to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C41 (unaffected length) – A36 – A350 – C41 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. B) Wyke Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Canal Road to its property known as No.100 Wyke Road to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out repair service leak. Alternative route via Wyke Road (unaffected length) – B3106 – Canal Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. C) A363 (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 to outside its property known as County Hall to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Longfield Gyratory scheme and associated works. Alternative route via A363 (unaffected length) – B3106 – A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 until 02 December 2026. D) C211 (Part), Holt; from its junction with B3107 for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cabling and other associated works. Alternative route via C211 (unaffected length) – C212 – B3107 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. E) A360 (Part), West Lavington; from its junction with Duck Street to its junction with Church Street to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out repair mains leak and other associated works. Alternative route: via A360 (unaffected length) – B3086 – The Packway – A345 – A342 – A360 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route HGVs: via A360 (unaffected length) – Cheverell Road – B3098 – B3086 – The Packway – A345 – A342 – A360 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 October 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water Services on 0345 600 4600.

F) A342 (Part), Bromham; from its property known as No.120 St Ediths Marsh for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out urgent mains leak repairs and other associated works. Alternative route via A342 (unaffected length) – A361 – A365 – Spa Road – A3102 – A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 16 July 2026 will now recommence on 22 October 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order F) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:

Footpath 73, Melksham Without; from its junction with West Hill to its junction with West Hill Lane to enable Wessex Water are carrying out essential works to the sewer network, comprising the relining of an existing sewer pipeline. Access to the PRoW cannot be maintained for this section of the works. Alternative route via West Hill – West Hill Lane and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 30 October 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.
