ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Parking Restrictions & Road Closures

Various Roads in the Borough

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic in a temporary prohibition of traffic in various streets in Teddington.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The parking restrictions and road closures will operate on a rolling basis.

3. The order will come into effect on 26 October 2026. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 26 October until 01 March 2027. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Cambridge Road, Hampton.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Cambridge Road, Hampton.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Cambridge Road, Hampton from outside numbers 30-34.

3. The order will come into effect 26 October 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 26 October to 27 October 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Falcon Road, Holly Bush Lane, Orchard Road and Vice Versa.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Pothole Maintenance works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Colonial Avenue, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Colonial Avenue, Twickenham from the junction with Kneller Road to outside number 3 Colonial Avenue, Twickenham.

3. The order will come into effect 26 October 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 26 October to 28 October 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
