What is happening?
Borough of Telford & Wrekin
The Council proposes to make the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, High Street, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, whilst highway improvement works are being undertaken. The order becomes operational from the 26/10/26 between the hours of 8:00 and 17:00. The following footway is affected: High Street, Newport from its jcn from New St for approx. 15m in a north westerly and south easterly direction. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 30/10/26.
Alternative routes will be signed on site.
