VARIATION OF CHARGES AT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES & VARIATION OF THE BOROUGH OF BASILDON (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION (AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2012
1. The Council will, on 13th November 2026, revise charges for off-street parking as follows:-
2. Pay and Display Charges
(a) To vary the daily charges at the following Council’s car parks: Billericay Lake Meadows,
Proposed Tariff:Billericay Lake Meadows Monday to Friday 2:00pm – 3:00pm £0.50 All other times – Free of Charge
The Council will, on 13th November 2026, amend the Borough of Basildon (Off Street parking places) consolidation (amendment no.2) Order 2012 as follows:-
(a) The introduction of a reduced parking tariff of £0.50 between 2.00pm and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, with all other time periods being free of charge.
(b) The removal of the Mi Permit payment application as a payment method.
(c) The requirement for parking payments to be made using onsite parking terminals.
(d) Provision for motorists to make payment from 1.45pm in advance of the 2.00pm charging period.
3. All associated documents for the proposed changes are available on the Basildon Council website.
4. If you need to view hard copy of these documents, please call 01268 207870 to arrange a suitable time to inspect the documents quoting the reference LAKE MEADOWS OCT 2026. Documents can be made available for inspection 9-5.00pm Mon-Fri at Bareylands Depot, Bareylands Road, Essex, CM11 2UF, if so required.
5. Objections: Anyone who wishes to make an objection to the proposed changes should send the grounds for their objection via e-mail to carparks@basildon.gov.uk by 12th November 2026.
6. This Notice of Variation is given under powers set out in Sections 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders etc. Regulations 1996.
