THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(PEASLEY CROSS ROUNDABOUT, ST HELENS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along the roads or lengths of road specified in Schedule 1, or any part thereof, as and when indicated by road traffic signs on site.

The Order will come into force on Friday 1st January 2027 and may remain in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The restrictions will be implemented only as and when required during this period. The roads affected and the corresponding diversion routes are detailed in Schedule 1.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the Parr Street / Peasley Cross Roundabout highway improvement scheme.
