U7844 Motts Mill, Groombridge - Temporary Road Closure

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U7844 Motts Mill, Groombridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Motts Mill – from the junction with B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill to the junction with U7466 Forge Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill, Hendal Hill – B2110 Withyham Road – C70 Station Road – U7466 Corseley Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 21 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7545 Buckhurst Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Buckhurst Lane – from the junction with B2100 Best Beech Hill to the junction with B2099 Frant Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2099 Frant Road, Station Hill, Station Road – B2100 Mayfield Lane, Best Beech Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2110 High Street, Hartfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
High Street – from the junction with B2026 Jib Jacks Hill to the junction with B2110 Castlefields.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2110 Castlefields, Withyham Road – B2188 Hendal Hill, Cherry Gardens Hill, Plumyfeather Lane, Lye Green Road, Church Hill, Black Hill – B2026 High Road, Chuck Hatch Road, Cotchford Hill, Jib Jacks Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2110 Cat Street, Hartfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Cat Street – from the junction with B2110 Gallipot Hill to the junction with B2110 Shepherds Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2110 Shepherds Hill, Hartfield Road – A22 Lewes Road, Wych Cross, Millbrook Hill, High Street, Fords Green Road, Courtlands Road, Horney Common Road – B2026 Straight Half Mile, Lampool Road, Duddleswell Road, High Road, Chuck Hatch Road, Cotchford Hill, Jib Jacks Hill – B2110 Newton Hill, Gallipot Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 26 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2100 Mayfield Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mayfield Lane – from the junction with B2099 Station Road to the junction with C14 Tidebrook Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2100 Best Beech Hill, Wadhurst Road – A267 Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield Road – B2099 Wadhurst Road, Riverhall Hill, Frant Road, Station Hill, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 30 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 October and 2 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2100 Sparrows Green Road, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Sparrows Green Road – from the junction with B2099 High Street to the junction with B2100 Cousley Wood Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2100 Cousley Wood Road, The Slade – A21(T) – B2087 High Street, Union Street, Broom Hill, Berners Hill, Dale Hill, Lower Platts – B2099 High Street, Shovers Green, Ticehurst Road, Moseham Hill, Lower High Street, High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 November 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 5 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
