Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE BUS LANE ORDER AND TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON NORMANTON ROAD AND TEMPORARY LEFT TURN CLOSURE ORDER ON LARA CROFT WAY, DERBY
WHEN: 07 November 2026 to 08 November 2026 (20.00 to 06.00)
WHERE: Normanton Road, close inbound from its junction with Lara Croft Way. Normanton Road, suspension of the bus lane from opposite its junction with Leopold Street to opposite its junction with Sacheverel Street West. Lara Croft Way, close the left turn into Normanton Road.
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Warwick Avenue – Stenson Road – Upper Dale Road – Stanhope Street – Pear Tree Road – Normanton Road.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON STENSON ROAD AND BREEDON AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 15 November 2026 to 15 November 2026
WHERE: Stenson Road, either side of its junction with Breedon Avenue
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stenson Road – Blagreaves Lane – The Hollow – Hillsway – Burton Road – Warwick Avenue – Stenson Road (and the same in the opposite direction) and Breedon Avenue – Instow Drive – Stenson Road (and the same in the opposite direction).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: For Raynesway (Southbound): Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound – Pride Park – Derwent Parade – Royal Way – Pride Parkway – London Road – Raynesway for Raynesway Loop: A52 Eastbound – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound – Pride Park – Derwent Parade – Royal Way – Pride Parkway – London Road – Raynesway.
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE PARKING BAYS ORDER ON SINFIN LANE, DERBY

WHERE: Sinfin Lane, suspend the parking bays from its junction with Kingsley Street to No 239 – for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
REASON: Drainage works
