Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures for Various Works

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures is for the installation of internet network works.

The said roads are expected to be closed, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 19th October 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order may permit the closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 30th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C168 HORCOTT ROAD (FAIRFORD TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C168 Horcott Road from its junction with Milton Street to outside of the property known as ‘Howzat’ for a distance of approximately 147 metres.

The reason for the closure is for highway works.

The road is expected to be closed from 19th October 2026 to 23rd October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C179 Ewen Road from outside of the premises known as ‘Sewerage Treatment Works’ to outside of the premises known as ‘Shorncote Quarry’ for a distance of approximately 314 metres.

The reason for the closure is for electrical pole replacement works.

The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 on 22nd October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407133 Albion Street from outside of the property known as ‘No.12 Albion Street’ to outside of the property known as ‘No.49 Albion Street’ for a distance of approximately 115 metres. The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of BT Openreach.

The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 on 30th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for water installation and repair works.

The road is expected to be closed from 3rd November 2026 until 6th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for on behalf of Openreach.

The road is expected to be closed from 2nd November 2026 until 6th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for carriageway repair works.

The road is expected to be closed from 3rd November 2026 until 4th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
