Micklethwaite Lane - Temporary Road Closure due to Drainage Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL MICKLETHWAITE LANE, BINGLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of B.C Excavations (drainage works) proposed to be executed on or near Micklethwaite Lane, Bingley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Micklethwaite Lane from its junction with Micklethwaite Landings to its junction with Airedale Mills.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Micklethwaite Lane (unaffected section), Carr Lane, Otley Road, Heights Lane, Parkside, Park Road, Main Street, Keighley Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 26th October 2026 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 5th November 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
