ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a)
THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (GRANTHAM, LINCOLNSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A1 Trunk Road, at Grantham, in the County of Lincolnshire, to enable local authority resurfacing works nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to –
(a) prohibit vehicles from leaving the northbound carriageway of the A1 at its junction with the slip road leading to its roundabout junction with Harlaxton Road (Harlaxton Road Interchange), at Grantham; and
(b) close the slip road leading to northbound carriageway of the A1 from its roundabout junction with the Harlaxton Road Interchange, to its junction with Wyville Road at Grantham.
The closure and prohibition will be carried out overnight between 20:00 and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Thursday 5 November 2026 and continue for one night. The Order will come into force on Monday 2 November 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure and prohibition.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A1 will be signed.

THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR COLSTERWORTH, LINCOLNSHIRE) (LINK ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A1 Trunk Road, near Colsterworth, in the County of Lincolnshire, to enable drainage improvement works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to close the link roads leading –
(a) from the northbound carriageway of the A1 to its junction with the B6403 Bridge End, near Colsterworth; and
(b) to the northbound carriageway of the A1 from its junction with the B6403 Bridge End, near Colsterworth.
The closures are expected to start at 07:00 on Monday 9 November 2026 and continue until 17:00 hours on Saturday 21 November 2026. The Order will come into force on 2 November 2026.

Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A1 and the B6403, the B1174 and the A151 will be signed.
