U12B - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U12b Rathen Spillarsford Road – 19.10.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 19.10.26 for 12 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U12b Rathen Spillarsford Road from Rathen Old Cemetery to Rathen Primary School.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during work for an electricity company.
An alternative route is available via Rathen Primary School to Lake View, Lake View to Rathen Old Cemetery and vice versa. Details of the restriction can be viewed online at https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/apps/roadworks/
