NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
THE WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2026.
On 12th October 2026 West Lancashire Borough Council (“the Council”) confirmed the above order.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to consolidates the Council’s off-street parking provisions into a single updated Order reflecting operational practices over Bus Station, Lunesdale, Market Way, Park Pool, Park Road, Wheatsheaf, Hants Lane, Hutton Way and The Stiles and Derby Street as shown on the order map and Schedule.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen at West Lancashire Borough Council Offices 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk, L39 2DF free of charge from weekdays 9am-5pm (excluding bank holidays). Copies of the order and map may be bought there at a reasonable charge.
The order comes into force on 12th October 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under regulation 23(3) and Schedule 5 of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 Act within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by Part III of Schedule 1 to that Act
