South Lake Drive - Temporary Road Closure due to Electrical Duct Installation Works
What is happening?
NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (SOUTH LAKE DRIVE, CELTIC LAKES, NEWPORT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along South Lake Drive, Celtic Lakes Newport.
The alternative route is via Imperial Way and North Lake Drive, Celtic Lakes, Newport.
The reason for making the order is due to electrical duct route installation.
The proposed order will be operative from 3rd November 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months or until works have been completed, if earlier.
The anticipated duration of the works is 31 days.
Pedestrian access will be available at all times and emergency access will be made quickly available.
