THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(FOOTPATH 64A CHEADLE AND GATLEY)
PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2026
The above order, made on 6 October 2026, under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create a public bridleway running from the adopted highway at the north east end of Marlow Close (at Point A), running in a north easterly direction for 21 metres to Footpath 64 Cheadle and Gatley (at Point B) as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Reception Desk, Town Hall, Stockport, SK1 3XE from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.00.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Chief Governance Officer & Monitoring Officer, Town Hall, Stockport, SK1 3XE CSS/ SCS/JAC/139089 not later than 11/11/2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations of objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport may confirm the order as an unopposed order.
If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
