RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd yn bwriadu dim llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad y rhybudd hwn wneud Gorchymyn fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o’r Ffordd o’r A5 heibio Tai Newyddion i Lyn Ogwen, Nant Ffrancon o bwynt ger Rhif 2, Glanrhyd gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol am bellter o oddeutu 320 metr.
Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar gyfer gwaith ar ran Openreach.
Y ffordd arall yw teithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd orllewinol, yna gogledd ddwyreiniol ar y Ffordd o’r A5 heibio Tai Newyddion i Lyn Ogwen hyd at y gyffordd gyda’r A5 a throi i’r dde. Dilyn y ffordd hon mewn cyfeiriad de ddwyreiniol.
Yn y gyffordd ger Ogwen Cottage, troi i’r dde i deithio mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol hyd at y caead ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall. Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.
Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar yr 16eg o Dachwedd 2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na un mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua 5 diwrnod.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(ROAD FROM THE A5 PASSING TAI NEWYDDION TO LLYN OGWEN, NANT FFRANCON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Road from the A5 passing Tai Newyddion to Llyn Ogwen, Nant Ffrancon from a point by No.2 Glanrhyd travelling south westerly for a distance of approximately 320 metres.
The Order is necessary for works on behalf of Openreach.
The alternative route is to travel north westerly, then north easterly on the Road from the A5 passing Tai Newyddion to Llyn Ogwen up to the junction with the A5 and turn right.
Follow this road in a south easterly direction. At the junction by Ogwen Cottage, turn right to travel westerly up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.
Access will be maintained for residents.
The Order comes into effect on the 16th of November 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding one month or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 5 days.
