East Street - Temporary Road Closure due to Openreach New Service Works

(East Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 80m north east of its junction with Market Hill for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA5276347SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via B1024, A12, A120, B1024 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 2nd October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
