(FULTON ROAD, MILNGAVIE) (NO STOPPING AT ANY TIME EXCEPT TAXIS) ORDER 2026
On Thursday, 01 October 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made an Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, which Order comes into operation on Monday, 23 November 2026.
The proposed Order was advertised in the edition of the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald published on 22 May 2026. The main effect of the Order will be the introduction of no stopping restrictions to facilitate taxi stances on sections of Fulton Road, Milngavie as detailed in Schedule 1 below. The Order has been made without modifications to the proposed Order as publicised.
A copy of the Order as made and plan detailing the lengths of road affected may be examined without payment of fee on the Traffic Regulation Orders page of the East Dunbartonshire Council website and at:-
(i) Milngavie Library, Allander Road, Milngavie, G62 8PN (Mon-Thu 10am to 8pm; Fri-Sat 10am to 5pm).
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision therein on grounds that the Order is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 01 October 2026, make an application to the Court of Session for this purpose.
