TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4234 FROM CHURCH ROAD TO MIREYSTOCK CROSS ROADS (LYDBROOK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4234 from Church Road to Mireystock Cross Roads from its junction with A4136 to its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 1.25 kilometres. The reason for the closure is for drainage and manhole works.
The road is expected to be closed from 19th October 2026 until 23rd October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 403075
MOUNTJOYS LANE AND 405225 MOUNTJOYS LANE END (CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 403075 Mountjoys Lane Road and the 405225 Mountjoys Lane End Road to prevent any stopping, loading or unloading from its junction with High Street to outside of the property known as ‘The Hollies’ for a distance of approximately 70 metres.
The reason for this closure and restriction is to allow for cable installation works.
There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 19th October 2026 until 21st October 2026 only or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS
(VARIOUS PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.
SCHEDULE 

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works. There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 21st October 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required.
It is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st December 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION 400300 STERRY’S LANE
(GORSLEY AND KILCOT PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 400300 Sterry’s Lane from outside of the property known as ‘Brookfields Farm’ to outside of the property known as ‘Annexe Brookfield Cottage’ for a total distance of approximately 50 metres.
The reason for the closure and restriction is for replacement lighting pole.
There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works. The road is expected to be closed and restricted between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 30th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed,
whichever is sooner.

EXTINGUISHMENT OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH FSB 23 AND CREATION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH AT CLOSE TURF FARM (PARISH OF ST BRIAVELS)
EXTINGUISHMENT AND CREATION ORDER 2026
The above Orders made on 29th September 2026 under Section 118 and Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed, will extinguish the length of Public Footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule hereto to a line described in Part 2 and create the length of Public Footpath described in Part 2. A copy of the Orders and maps may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Forest of Dean District Council, High Street, Coleford, Glos, GL16 8HG. Copies of the Orders and Order Maps may be obtained free of charge by emailing prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk
(please quote reference FSB23/KM). Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to the Principal Public Rights of Way Officer, Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG not later than 11th November 2026.
Please state the grounds on which they are made. (Please quote reference FSB/23/KM). If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Gloucestershire County Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order. In submitting an objection it should be noted that personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be passed to Gloucestershire County Council in order that they can contact you directly to address the issues raised. SO5848/0474 and of undefined width.
PART 2 Description of new path to be created A length of public footpath that commences at a point marked E at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO5796/0480 extending in a south easterly and south south easterly direction for approximately 314 metres to point F at OSGR SO5817/0461 continuing in a south westerly direction for approximately 100 metres to point G at OSGR SO5810/0456 and being with a width of 2.5 metres.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 500032 LAUNDRY LANE (NEWLAND PARISH)
FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500032 Laundry Lane from outside of the property known as ‘Pear Tree Cottage’ to its junction with Laundry Lane adjacent to Rose Cottage for a distance of approximately 500 metres. The reason for the
closure is for works on behalf of the National Grid.
The road is expected to be closed from 2nd November 2026 until 6th November 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400071 Old Road from outside the property known as ‘Ivydene’ to outside the property known as ‘Rose Cottage’
for a distance of approximately 170 metres. The reason for the closure is for works to lay a new gas pipe.
The road is expected to be closed from 2nd November 2026 until 6th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. known as ‘Apple Acre’ for a distance of approximately 150 metres. The reason for the closure and restriction is for drainage works. There will be no stopping, loading, unloading or waiting permitted throughout the duration of the works.
The road is expected to be closed and restricted from 2nd November 2026 until 4th November 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
