TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC152570323: The City of Manchester (Whitworth Street West, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic & Bus Lane Closure) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to make Whitworth Street West One Way from Deansgate to Albion Street (permitted direction of travel) and therefore close the Bus Lane from Albion Street to Deansgate. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order defect repair.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th October 2026 to 25th October 2026. The Order shall come into operation on 24th October 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
