(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
(BLIND LANE, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Blind Lane from its junction with Adam Street to Sub Station adjacent to No. 39 for a distance of approximately 25 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Blind Lane, Victoria Road, Burnley Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(SWAN LANE, OUTLANE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Swan Lane from Old Lee to New Lee for a distance of approximately 5.41 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via New Road, Old Lindley Road, Lindley Moor Road, Swan Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 16th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Dean House Lane from its junction with Delph Hill Lane to Cow Lane for a distance of approximately 650 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Dean House Lane, Booth Hill, Bank House Lane, Wainstalls Lane, Mount Tabor Road, Stocks Lane, High Street, New Road, Duke Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.
(WATER STREET, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sunbelt Rentals Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Water Street from West Street in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 250 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via West Street, Station Road, Norland Road, Victoria Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 21:00 & 06:00.
(BENTLEY AVENUE, LIGHTCLIFFE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Clearview Services Group, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bentley Avenue from No. 72 to No. 74 for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Bentley Avenue, Aysgarth Avenue, Fairless Avenue. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th October 2026. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Brier Hey Lane from its junction with Burnley Road to The Briers for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.
(BROW BOTTOM LANE, MIXENDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Brow Bottom Lane from its junction with Clough Lane to No. 1 Brow Bottom Lane for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Clough Lane, Hambleton Drive, High Lees Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(COPLEY GLEN, COPLEY)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sapphire Utility Solutions, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Copley Glen from its junction with Wakefield Road to outside No. 10 for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 22nd November 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(ST GILES ROAD, LIGHTCLIFFE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Applebridge Construction Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of St Giles Road from Yew Trees Cottage to Spout House Lane for a distance of approximately 27 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Spout House Lane, Halifax Road, Wakefield Road, St Giles Road, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th October 2026. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Waterloo Road/Albion Street/John Street from its junction with Halifax Road to side of 60 Waterloo Road for a distance of approximately 80 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Waterloo Road, Garden Road, Halifax Road, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th November 2026. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Sandbeds Road/Highroad Well Lane from its junction with Moor End Road to Ling Bob Junior, Infant & Nursery School for a distance of approximately 490 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Roils Head Road, Gibbet Street, Spring Hall Lane, Pellon New Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 3rd November 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Naylor Lane from Solomon Hill to Burnley Road for a distance of approximately 770 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Burnley Road A646, Luddenden Lane, New Road, Solomon Hill and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 13:00.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Warley Wood Lane from its junction with Burnley Road to No. 10 for a distance of approximately 590 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Burnley Road, John Naylor Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 16:00.
(UNION LANE, OGDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Union Lane from its junction with Rocks Lane to Keighley Road for a distance of approximately 470 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Rocks Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th October 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th October 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.
