(C5047 BOWLAND BRIDGE AND CHAPEL HOUSE LANE, CASTERTON)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) C5047 Bowland Bridge, from a point approx. 485 metres north east of its junction with the C5060, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 110 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5047, C5060, C5048 and the A5074.
Duration: From 27th October 2026 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/20655)
(ii) Chapel House Lane, Casterton, from its junction with Well Lane, extending in an overall south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 985 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Chapel House Lane, U5297, A65, A683 and the U5398.
Duration: From 27th October 2026 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/20660)

The Order will come into operation on 27th October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
