CROYDON COUNCIL - Proposed Introduction Of Waiting Restrictions In Various Locations In Croydon - The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. H18) Order 20- The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. H19) Order 20-
1. Notice Is Hereby Given that CROYDON COUNCIL proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
a) To introduce "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
b) To introduce single yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
c) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.

3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, between 10:00am and 6:00pm, at: Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to: Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

4. Person desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to: The Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, Croydon Council, Floor 3, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA, or email: Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk, quoting the Reference: - PD/H18 & H19 by 29 October 2026.

5. The Order is intended to introduce new or amend existing waiting restrictions at various locations. The waiting restrictions are intended to address all or some of the following situations: improve safety by providing increased visibility, especially at junctions and on bends; prevent obstructive parking so that turning vehicles have sufficient manoeuvrability and improve access for all road users, especially pedestrians, cyclists, emergency, and public service vehicles.

SCHEDULE 1
(Introducing Double Yellow Line Waiting Restrictions "At Any Time")

Bardolph Avenue, Croydon
- The southwest side, extending the existing double yellow lines opposite the junction with Fairacres by 19 metres south-eastwards.
- The northeast side, extending the existing double yellow lines at its junction with Pixton Way by 10.5 metres, so that they match the length of the restrictions on the opposite side.

Beech Avenue, South Croydon
- The southeast side, from a point opposite the northeastern kerb line of Stockham’s Close for 33 metres north-eastwards.
- The northwest side, from a point 6 metres northeast of its junction with Chaseley Drive for 26 metres north-eastwards.
- The southeast side, for 6 metres either side of the entrance to Arboreta Close.

Bensham Lane, Croydon
- Both sides, from its junction with Campbell Road / Cameron Road, for 10 metres southwards and 7.5 metres northwards.

Burcott Road, Purley
- The northwest side, from its junction with Old Lodge Lane for 10 metres north-eastwards.
- The southeast side, from its junction with Old Lodge Lane for 13.6 metres north-eastwards.

Cameron Road, Croydon
- The northwest side, from its junction with Bensham Lane to the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Cameron Road.
- The southeast side, from its junction with Bensham Lane to the permit/payment parking bay outside Nos. 6 and 8 Cameron Road.

Campbell Road, Croydon
- The northwest side, from its junction with Bensham Lane for 26 metres south-westwards.
- The southeast side, from its junction with Bensham Lane to the permit/payment parking bay outside No. 16 Campbell Road.

Chart Close, Croydon
- The southwest and northwest side (fronting property Nos. 1–3 Chart Close), extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Stockbury Road to finish at a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 5 Chart Close.
- The cul-de-sac at the northeastern end of Chart Close, from a point 2.2 metres north of the southern kerb line outside No. 7 Chart Close following the kerb round to the common boundary of Nos. 17 and 19 Stockbury Road.

Churchill Road, South Croydon
- The southeast side, from a point 2.5 metres southwest of the access road to off-street parking situated between No.15 Churchill Road and the garage sited at the rear of No. 13 Churchill Road, for 10.7 metres north-eastwards, covering the entrance to that access road.

Gilliam Grove, Purley
- The east side, from its junction with Russell Green Close to a point opposite the northeastern boundary of No.1 Gilliam Grove.
- The west side, from its junction with Russell Green Close for 28.5 metres southwards.
- The west side, from a point 45.5 metres southeast of its junction with Russell Green Close to the northeastern boundary of No. 1 Gilliam Grove.
- The cul-de-sac at the southwestern end of Gilliam Grove, the northwest side, from the common boundary of Nos. 18 and 19 Gilliam Grove following the kerb round to finish at a point 4.2 metres northeast of the northeastern flank wall of Nos. 20 and 21 Gilliam Grove.
- The cul-de-sac at the southwestern end of Gilliam Grove, the southeast side, from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 18 and 19 Gilliam Grove for 22 metres south-westwards.

Hartley Down, Purley
- The east side, for 15 metres either side of its junction with Hartley Way.

Hartley Hill, Purley
- Both sides, from its junction with Old Lodge Lane, 10 metres south-westwards.

Hartley Way, Purley
- Both sides, from its junction with Hartley Down, for 15 metres eastwards.

Old Lodge Lane, Purley
- The northeast side, for 10 metres either side of its junction with Burcott Road.
- The southwest side, from a point 13.2 metres northwest of its junction with Hartley Hill to a point 10 metres southeast of that junction.

Onslow Gardens, South Croydon
- The southwest side, from a point 31 metres southeast of its junction with Addington Road for 15 metres south-eastwards (adjoining the proposed extended single yellow line – see Schedule 2).

Pampisford Road, South Croydon
- The east side, from a point 1.5 metres north of the common boundary of Nos. 232 and 234 Pampisford Road southwards for 66 metres (finishing at the pedestrian crossing outside No. 226 Pampisford Road).
- The west side, from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 232 and 234 Pampisford Road southwards for 45 metres (finishing at the bus stop outside No. 173 Pampisford Road).
- The west side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Knighton Close by 7 metres northwards.
- The west side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Wyndhurst Close by 28 metres southwards.
- The east side, from a point opposite the northern kerb line of Wyndhurst Close for 36 metres southwards.

Pixton Way, Croydon
- The southeast side, extending the existing double yellow lines at its junction with Bardolph Avenue south-westwards so that they finish at the bus stop outside Forestdale Forum, No.1 Bardolph Avenue.

Russell Green Close, Purley
- The south side, for 10 metres either side of its junction with Gilliam Grove.

Sandfield Gardens, Thornton Heath
- The turning area at southeastern end of the road, from the northwestern boundary of No. 24 Sandfield Gardens on the southwest side, following the kerb round to a point opposite the northwestern boundary of No. 24 Sandfield Gardens on northeast side.

Selsdon Park Road, Croydon
- The southeast side, outside the Esso Garage, No. 76 Selsdon Park Road, from a point 16 metres southwest to a point 10 metres northeast of the southwestern vehicular access to the garage (opposite No. 133 Selsdon Park Road).
- The southeast side, outside the Esso Garage, No. 76 Selsdon Park Road, for 5 metres either side of the northeastern vehicular access to the garage (opposite No. 143 Selsdon Park Road).

SCHEDULE 2
(Introducing Single Yellow Line Waiting Restrictions)

Croham Valley Road, South Croydon
- The northeast side, between its junction with Benchfield and the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 Croham Valley Road (operating from 7:00am – 7:00pm, Mon-Sat).

Onslow Gardens, South Croydon
- The southwest side, extending the existing single yellow line at its junction with Addington Road by 12 metres south-eastwards (operating from 8:00am – 6:30pm, Mon-Sat).
