(OSSETT BYPASS, OSSETT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 293) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for litter picking, grass cutting, road sweeping, gully clearing & tree pruning, to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ossett Bypass, Ossett. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ossett Bypass.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Dewsbury Road, Wakefield Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th October 2026, 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BLACKER LANE, NETHERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 294) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for litter picking, grass cutting, road sweeping, gully clearing & tree pruning, to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Blacker Lane, Netherton. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Blacker Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Denby Dale Road, Bar Lane, Stocksmoor Road, Upper Lane, Netherton Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th October 2026, 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 308) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection, to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sandy Lane, Middlestown outside number 101. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sandy Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: New Road, Cross Road, Sandy Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th October 2026 to 3rd November 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SLACK LANE, NEWMILLERDAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 309) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to clear cable blockages to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Slack Lane, Newmillerdam from the junction with Barnsley Road to outside number 5. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Slack Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, no through road. Access to be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th October 2026 to 29th October 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BAKER LANE, STANLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 311) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Baker Lane, Stanley from Canal Lane to Rooks Nest Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Baker Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lake Lock Road, Mount Road, Canal Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th October 2026 to31st October 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HIGH STREET, OSSETT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 312) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Ossett from Gawthorpe Lane to Leeds Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cross Street, Pickering Lane, Leeds Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th October 2026 to 1st November 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(FOOTPATH 9, STATION ROAD, NORMANTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 315) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for b uilding work to new housing development to be carried out on or near Footpath 9, Station Road, Normanton, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.
Alternative route for pedestrians: N/A.
The order comes into operation on 28th October 2026 to 16th January 2027.
