THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(PINE AVENUE, NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Pine Avenue from number 1 Pine Avenue to number 11 Pine Avenue, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 26th October, 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be 15 days. The alternative route will be via Park Avenue South, Park Road South, Maple Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the replacement of a section of gas main.
