CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STATION ROAD, LIDLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Lidlington 20m either side of the Level Crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable wig wag upgrade work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2300hrs on 7 to 1700hrs on 8 November 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Church St, High St, Bury Ware, A507, Bedford Rd, Brogborough, Sheep Tick End and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 7 November 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(OLIVER STREET, AMPTHILL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Oliver Street, Ampthill outside number 47.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 19 to 21 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Poppy Drive, Flitwick Road, Oliver Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 19 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of each of the following roads: Bedford Road, Cranfield between Bowling Green Road to Lower East End Farm.

Bliss Avenue, Cranfield at the junction with Bedford Road only.

This temporary closure is required to enable Civils, Resurfacing with paco and road marking works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 October to 6 November between the hours of 0900-1530.

The alternative route will be via Beancroft Rd, A421, Salford Rd, Cranfield Rd, Bedford Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Marston Road, Lidlington between The Lane and outside number 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable Utility Diversion work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 19 October to 20 November. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Sheeptick End, Woburn Rd, Marston Bypass, Station Rd and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Northwood End Road, Haynes outside number 78. This temporary closure is required to enable existing vxo resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 19 to 21 October 2026 between the hours 0800-1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Silver End Rd, A600, Northwood End Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 19 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 23 October. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route will be via Rectory Rd, Cobblers Lane, Eversholt Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable air valve maintenance work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 22 October. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route will be via A6, Bedford Rd, Warren Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
