ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 214, THATTO HEATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS, ORDER 2026)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 28th day of September, 2026, The Secretary of State for Transport approved the continuing in force of the above order made on 8th April 2026 and effective from 20th April 2026.

The secretary of State granted an extension of the said Order until 20th April 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a pedestrian to proceed in either direction along Public right of way 214 between Thatto Heath Park and Elephant Lane, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The reason for extending this Order is to facilitate the construction of a new housing development.
