Whitchurch - Temporary Northbound Road Closure due to Gas Mains Replacement Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – B3400 MARKET PLACE & NEWBURY STREET, WHITCHURCH, BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED IN A NORTHBOUND DIRECTION: that part of B3400 Market Place & Newbury Street between its junction with Bell Street and its junction with Laundry Yard.

B3400, B3048, A303, A30, A340, B3400

Winchester Street, A34, A30, A34, Bridge over Whitchurch Bypass, Newbury Road, Larks Barrow Hill, Newbury Road, Newbury Street

DURATION OF ORDER: from 19th October 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 weeks, and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SGN to carry out gas mains replacement. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: veronicajohnston@gjcontractorsltd.com
