Redcar Lane - Temporary Road Closure due to Water Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL REDCAR LANE, STEETON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Redcar Lane, Steeton intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Redcar Lane from a point outside the White Field Cottage to a point outside the New Redcar Farm.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Redcar Lane (unaffected section), Barrows Lane, Mill Lane, Skipton Road, Sutton Lane, Main Street, Ellers Road, Green Sykes Road, Tarn Lane, Black Hill Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 19th October 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 21st October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
