THE A85 TRUNK ROAD (GILMERTON TO CRIEFF) 
(30MPH 40MPH AND 50MPH SPEED LIMITS ) ORDER 202[]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 82(2), 83(1), 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of, schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a 30mph speed limit (Part 1), 40mph speed limit (Part 2) and 50mph speed limit (Part 3) on the following lengths of road:

PART 1
1. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Gilmerton, from a point 45 metres or thereby east of the extended eastern kerb line of Grahame Terrace, in a westerly direction to a point 321 metres or thereby west of the extended western kerb line of the A822 Highland Road, a distance of 577 metres or thereby.

PART 2
2. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Gilmerton, from a point 45 metres or thereby east of the extended eastern kerb line of Grahame Terrace, in an easterly direction to a point 370 metres or thereby east of the extended eastern kerb line of Grahame Terrace, a distance of 325 metres or thereby.

3. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Gilmerton, from a point 321 metres or thereby west of the extended western kerb line of the A822 Highland Road, in a westerly direction to a point 211 metres or thereby west of the extended western kerb line of Highlandman Loan, a distance of 491 metres or thereby.

PART 3
4. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Gilmerton, from a point 211 metres or thereby west of the extended western kerb line of Highlandman Loan, in a westerly direction to a point 30 metres or thereby east of the extended eastern kerb line of Callum’s Hill, a distance of 1.010 kilometres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with plans showing the lengths of road involved, revoked order and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 09th October 2026 until 06th November 2026 at Perth & Kinross Council Offices, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth PH1 5GD, The Co-Op Food, 38 Main Street, Bridgend, Perth PH2 7HB and at the offices of Transport Scotland, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER.
