Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boxed Church Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Nayland Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd November 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311005WH2RHM7K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Boxed Church Road, Church Road, Wet Lane, Workhouse Hill, Bills Road, Queens Head Road, Boxed Road, A134 and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 15th October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Turnpike Close, Langham in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Lodge Lane for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Crown Lane North, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Old Ipswich Road to its junction with Lodge Lane a distance of approximately 1215m.

3. To temporarily close that length of Lodge Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Crown Lane North for a distance of approximately 210m in a north easterly direction.

Closure 2. To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Langham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Wick Road for a distance of approximately 260m in a south easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Red Barn Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Seaview Road to its junction with Samsons Road a distance of approximately 105m. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Little Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 240m south west then north west of its junction with School Lane for a distance of approximately 220m in a south westerly then westerly direction.
