What is happening?

(Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.57) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

1. To Revoke: "No waiting Mon-Sat 9am-6pm" Waiting Restrictions

Road

Description

Station Road, Clacton-On-Sea

East Side: From a point in line with the extended boundary of Nos. 61 and 63 Station Road, north for approximately 15 metres.

2. To Revoke: An "Unrestricted Parking Bay"

Description

Station Road, Clacton-On-Sea

East Side: From a point in line with the northern (side) wall of No. 62 Station Road, south for approximately 8 metres.

This Order will be incorporated into the Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting Title: TM175 147 Revision 2 to Revision 3.

3. To Implement: "No Stopping at Any Time Except Buses"

Station Road, Clacton-On-Sea

East Side: From a point in line with the northern boundary of Nos. 61 and 63 Station Road, north for approximately 23 metres.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 15 October 2026.

Alternatively, documents can be emailed to you upon request.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Chapman Road, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapman Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Skelmersdale Road a distance of approximately 320m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd November 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2389339 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Skelmersdale Road, Beaconsfield Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ravensdale, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ravensdale, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Kestrel Way to its junction with Wrendale a distance of approximately 65m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd November 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311007WH4T7F2D – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Ravensdale, Thorpe Road, North Road, Ravensdale and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
