What is happening?

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the roads as set out in the below Schedule

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The roads would be closed on a rolling basis (at different times) as works progress.

Schedule

• Southbank Road from its junction with Holyhead Road and continuing to Bevington Crescent

• Both junctions of Sherbourne Crescent, at the junction of Holyhead Road and then south for approximately 10m – only one junction to be closed at one time.

• Redesdale Avenue from the junction of Holyhead Road and then for approximately 10m north

• Malvern Road junction of Holyhead Road for approximately 10m south

• Evenlode Crescent from the junction of Holyhead Road to the junction of Batsford Road

• Lammas Road at the junction of Holyhead Road and then north for approximately 10m

• Beaumont Road at the junction of Holyhead Road and then north for approximately 10m.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS KING RICHARD STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along King Richard Street from its junction with Britannia Street to its junction with Mowbray Street.

The Order would come into effect at 09:00 hours on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 and is required to enable the replacement of a decayed telegraph pole and associated works on King Richard Street to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 20 October 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS JACKSON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Jackson Road at its junction with Newport Road for approximately 15 metres in both directions.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 21 October 2026 and is required to enable the rebuilding of a sluice valve chamber and associated works on Jackson Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 23 October 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GREEN LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Green Lane to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The road will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the duration.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 21 October 2026 and is required to enable carriageway maintenance and resurfacing and associated works on Green Lane to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 23 October 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

NOTICE OF INTENT
PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF ROAD
HUMPS IN ASTORIA DRIVE AND CANNON PARK ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council, proposes under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980, to construct road humps in Astoria Drive at the following locations:-

(1) approximately 30 metres west of the junction with Banner Lane;

(2) approximately 30 metres east of the junction with Monticello Way;

(3) approximately 35 metres west of the junction with Monticello Way;

(4) approximately 15 metres east of the junction with Bellarose Close;

(5) approximately 75 metres north of the junction with Baychester Road;

(6) approximately 30 metres south of the junction with Broad Lane;

(7) a junction table between the junctions of Steinway and the east and west arms of Auburndale Avenue;

(8) a speed table approximately 30 metres north of the junction with Centora Walk.

2. Notice is also hereby given that the Council, proposes under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980, to construct road humps in Cannon Hill Road at the following locations:-

(1) approximately 50 metres north-east of the junction with Cannon Hill Road;

(2) approximately 185 metres north-east of the junction with Cannon Hill Road;

(3) approximately 50 metres south-west of the junction with Fairlands Park;

(4) approximately 115 metres north-east of the junction with Fairlands Park;

(5) approximately 30 metres south-west of the junction with Fletchamstead Highway.

3. The proposed traffic calming features should assist to reduce vehicle speeds and improve road safety on this road.
