Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, mewn dim llai na 7 niwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn atal unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio neu yrru ar hyd yr A470 Rhodfa'r Gogledd o’r ffordd ymadael tua’r de i gylchfan Coryton i’r gyffordd â Curlew Close.
Mae’r Gorchymyn yn ofynnol i hwyluso gwaith ar neu ger y briffordd, a disgwylir iddo fod ar waith o ddydd Sul 18 Hydref 2026 tan ddydd Gwener 23 Hydref 2026. Yr oriau gweithredu a ddisgwylir yw 8:00pm bob nos tan 5.00am bob bore.
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.
Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan hyn fydd trwy Heol Merthyr, y 3edd allanfa oddi ar gylchfan Coryton, Heol Pendwyallt, Heol y Parc, Heol Pen-llin, Heol Merthyr, Heol Llwynbedw, Ffordd y Faenor, Heol Merthyr, Heol Caerffili, Heol y Gogledd, 5ed allanfa oddi ar gyfnewidfa Gabalfa a Heol y Gogledd.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF (A470 NORTHERN AVENUE, CARDIFF)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of which is to prevent any vehicles from using or proceeding along the A470 Northern Avenue from the southbound off slip road to the Coryton roundabout to its junction with Curlew Close.
The Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near to the highway and is expected to be in operation from Sunday 18th October 2026 until Friday 23rd October 2026.
The expected hours of operation are from 8:00pm each evening until 5:00am each morning.
The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this closure will be via Merthyr Road, 3rd exit off Coryton roundabout, Pendwyallt Road, Park Road, Penlline Road, Merthyr Road, Birchgrove Road, Manor Way, Merthyr Road, Caerphilly Road, North Road, 5th exit off Gabalfa interchange and North Road.
The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (A470 Northern Avenue, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026”.
